Oskar Schindler (1908-1974) was a heroic character during World War II, mainly recognised for saving the lives of 1200 Jews, while risking his own life.
Unfortunately, he is wasn't acknowledged by all the Germans after war, as people spat at him, and abused him verbally at times.
